Engagement
What it does
WordUp Tutoring helps K–8 students build confidence in reading, math, writing and other core subjects. Students get daily challenges, guided homework help, reading support for any book and educational games, alongside live tutoring.
What we built
WordUp came to us for one fixed-scope build: the learning app at app.worduptutoring.com, built on Next.js and Supabase, with sign-in by email or Google and its own way in for students. Shankar Prasad then built the AI into the product.
How it grew
After the first build, WordUp moved to a retainer, and the hours have flexed with the roadmap since: up for the big pushes, then a steady pace once the core was in place. Shankar works out with the team what is worth building before he builds it.
Where it is today
WordUp Tutoring is live as an online learning platform based in Indianapolis, for individual learners and, through its Group Learning Stations, for schools, camps, libraries and community organisations.
