What it does
Prompt Genie gives teams one place to write, refine and share the prompts they use with AI models, instead of losing the good ones in Slack threads. Prompts sit in a shared library with version control and role-based access, and work across several LLMs.
What we built
We built the web app in React on AWS Amplify: the screens where people create, refine and collaborate on prompts across models. We also built the Stripe subscriptions - checkout with Stripe Elements for monthly and annual plans, upgrades, downgrades, cancellations and proration handled through webhooks, and premium features unlocked from the live subscription state.
Faster pages, lower bounce rate
We worked through Core Web Vitals across the app. Code is split by route, images load lazily and ship as WebP, the routes people use most are prefetched, and render paths are tuned. The average code chunk got 30% smaller and the largest one 60% smaller, and the bounce rate fell by 15%.
One email, one account
AWS Cognito kept email sign-ups and Google sign-ins in separate pools, so the same email could register twice and end up with two profiles. We added a pre-sign-up Lambda trigger that checks the email across both and turns away duplicates.
Where it is today
Prompt Genie is live at prompt-genie.com, with a free plan, Google sign-in and a Chrome extension.
