Where most founders start

Uber Eats and DoorDash run three sides at once: customers who order, merchants who prepare it and couriers who carry it. We built the matching and scheduling engine of a delivery platform that paired senders with drivers, and a mobile-first operations tool for a transport company.

Orders come in by phone and WhatsApp Ordering and checkout in one flow
Drivers are assigned by hand Driver matching by place, size and time
Customers keep asking where it is Live status from pickup to drop-off
A budget for one version, not five A fixed-price v1, live in 5-6 weeks

What your v1 needs first

Matching beyond distance

We match orders to drivers by location, package size and timing. Food adds prep time, so dispatch has to wait for the kitchen, not just the map, before a courier goes.

Scheduled and on-demand

Not every order is for right now. Multi-order booking with set time slots lets one flow handle urgent deliveries and planned ones alike, without running two systems.

Status everyone can see

Customers, merchants and drivers each see the same order from their side: accepted, picked up, on the way, delivered. One status model keeps all three in step.

Tools for people on the road

Couriers update status, costs and proof of delivery from their phones, so we build a mobile-first tool that works one-handed, on patchy signal, in the middle of a shift.

How it works

  1. 01

Scope the core order flow (week 1)

On free calls we pick the one order flow your app has to prove and fix scope and price before you pay. Week 1: data model, statuses and payments.

  2. 02

Build the order flow (weeks 2-5)

Ordering, matching, tracking and notifications, with working software every week. The engineer building it is the one on your calls.

  3. 03

Launch and support (week 6 on)

We ship to production, hand over the code, docs and credentials, and stay on for 6 weeks of support as the first orders get delivered.

Starting at $12,000

A delivery app v1 is an MVP Sprint: fixed scope and fixed price, agreed before the build. Sprints start at $12,000. More on what it takes: marketplace app development.

Talk about your delivery app

We came to Zeroic for one fixed-scope build and never left. Shankar Prasad built the AI into WordUp and kept finding more worth shipping - we doubled our retainer hours inside the first month. He tells us what's worth building before he builds it.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to build an app like Uber Eats?

A focused v1 is an MVP Sprint, live in 5-6 weeks. Sprints start at $12,000, and we fix the final price with you upfront, based on how many sides, live tracking and payment flows you need. Adding this to a product you already run? A retainer from $4,000/month fits better.

Do drivers need their own app?

Not for a v1. A mobile-first web app covers accepting jobs and updating status, and we add a native app when you need background location, offline use or push.

Can you add live map tracking?

Yes. We can build live driver location into v1, or launch with clear order statuses and add the live map as your order volume grows.

Do we own the code?

Yes, 100%. You own the code, infrastructure, docs and credentials.
