Where most founders start
HoneyBook gives service businesses one place for proposals, contracts, invoices, payments and a client portal. We built a white-label client portal for agencies and consultants, with milestone payments, Calendly scheduling and a free plan plus a lifetime licence.
What your v1 needs first
A portal clients understand
Each client gets a clear view of their project, timeline, files and messages, so they can see where things stand at any time without sending you a single email.
Paid by milestone
Milestone payments through Stripe, with no platform cut, so a project gets paid as the work is delivered rather than chased by email at the very end of the project.
Branded as your own
Each business gets the portal under its own brand, so their clients see them, not your tool. White-label is much easier to plan for at the start than to add after launch.
Pricing you can change
Free plans, lifetime licences or monthly tiers: billing should follow the pricing you want to test, so we keep plans and prices easy to change after you launch.
How it works
- 01
Scope the v1 (week 1)
On free calls we agree the workflow your first customers will pay for, then fix scope and price upfront. Week 1: data model, roles and billing.
- 02
Build it (weeks 2-5)
Projects, client views, payments and scheduling, with working software every week. The engineer building it is the one on your calls.
- 03
Launch and support (week 6 on)
We ship to production, hand over the code, docs and credentials, and stay on for 6 weeks of support as the first teams sign up.
Starting at $12,000
A client portal v1 is an MVP Sprint: fixed scope and fixed price, agreed before the build. Sprints start at $12,000. More on what it takes: SaaS MVP development.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to build an app like HoneyBook?
A focused v1 is an MVP Sprint, live in 5-6 weeks. Sprints start at $12,000, and we fix the final price with you upfront, based on contracts, e-signatures and accounting integrations. Adding this to a product you already run? A retainer from $4,000/month fits better.
Can it be white-label?
Yes. We have built a client portal branded as each agency's own. White-label is easier to plan into the data model at the start than to add after launch.
Do we need to build everything HoneyBook does?
No. Start with the one workflow your customers would pay for today, often projects and payments, and add proposals, contracts and automations once it is used.
Do we own the code?
Yes, 100%. You own the code, infrastructure, docs and credentials.
